The Sehnsucht poems (5) - Flying

Flying
In your sky
Over
A thousand miles
Away
From here

Unfolding my  wings
To undo
The darkness
Of your soul

To annihilate
The tiredness
Of your limbs
In the hollow
Of my loving breath

To spread water
Where there is thirst
A fountain
Of singing raindrops

To caress
To transport
To smile
To run
Run
Run
To you
In your trail
In your scent
In your danse

Your footsteps
Merged with mine
Melting
Into a thousand
Scorched lands

In a lightning

Warmth in the belly
Unspeakable
Dizziness
On the skin
Striking blows
In the agonizing heart

No breath
Without your breath
Half breath
Half life
In a full vision
Kissing
The lightness
Of your exhausted feet
Gently resting
Upon my chest

A million years of wait
Swallowed
With fear
In the smashed stomach
Constantly
Transfigured
By the sacred alchemy
The eternal bliss
Of our twin souls
The familiar wilderness
Blossoming upon our lips

Peace
At last
Your smile
My Home
