Over the Himalayas (October 2016) - “Sunlight streamed through grumbling storm clouds that played like tiger kittens around the mountain ridges.” ― Jane Wilson-Howarth, A Glimpse of Eternal Snows: A Journey of Love and Loss in the Himalayas

The Eye of the Storm

Winter frost
Howling
At the four corners
Angelic faces
Praising
Megalomaniac
Barking dogs
Spitting words
Of undisguised
Hate

Children
Have learnt
The taste of
The silent
Threat

A dishumanization
Crawling
In their doomed
Cradle

Mothers
Fathers
Brothers
Sisters

Every single song
Of  an unestimable value
Dragged
Under the ruins of Distress
Tossed
On ships of the last chance

Holding on to sunshine heartbeats
Falling asleep
In the arms
Of a sacred breath

The Beethoven Frieze, by Gustav Klimt: The Longing For Happiness Finds Repose In Poetry.
