The Sehnsucht poems (16)

In a world
Where I do not exist
Walls are opaque and high
Unreachable
For the eye
As dark and thick
As the most nebulous
Farthest
Galaxies

There
I stand
At the edge
Of a dream
With the taste
Of a never ending
Pain
On the lips

Flowers
Only
In imagination
With breathtaking
Bright colours
Numerous
And wild
And cherished
Blossoming
In bursting out
Redness
Translucid
Water lilies
Floating on
A quiet pond
My hands
Unable to reach
The soft riddle of the wind

The strangest
Of all the strangers
Into the enigmatic landscape
Covered up
Nameless
Lovingly
Set aside

Homeless heart
Constantly
Adjusting
To the unpredictable
Waves of Time
Fragmented
Out of reach
Almighty decider
Holding my life
In its hands

In a world
Where I do not exist
Windows shine
Like impenetrable
curtains of greyness
Protective fortresses
Invicible and mute
Hiding long talks
And tender smiles
And maps
And Tea breaks
And wild flowers
And cats

Secrets
Behind
The translucid giant
Aquarium

The film
Of someone else's story
Unfolding
Mercilessly
On a distorted screen

Portraits in frames
Of timeless mysteries
Hanged onto secret walls

Whispers
Fading into silence
Engulfing the pain
Of a bleeding heart
Into the twirl
Of an indescribable
Love
