Over the Himalayas (October 2016) - “Sunlight streamed through grumbling storm clouds that played like tiger kittens around the mountain ridges.” ― Jane Wilson-Howarth, A Glimpse of Eternal Snows: A Journey of Love and Loss in the Himalayas

The eyes of the night

The wise fold
Of the immaculate
And silent
Sheets

These almost imperceptible
Whistlings
And the other
Small noises
That the night
Only
Carries along
Among the too heavy hours

A breath
Regular
Heavy
And loud
Mastered
Tamed
Familiar
And quiet
Speaking of loneliness

The unbearable
Intrusive echo
Of your absence

The inestimable
Heavenly
Bliss
Of your existence

Painful absence
Until the bowels
The recalling killer
Constant
Uncompromising
Calling back to order
Good order

White and hollow
Hours
Resonating
Into infinity
Bouncing against white
Challenging
Empty walls

Interrupted gestures
Lost
In the endless night
An imagined space
Built
Dreamt
Cherished

Static masks
Mute
And anonymous
An affront
For my loving
Eyes and my lips

Red twirling dresses
Of wild passion
And flames
Beauties
Exposed
And praised

A passion
Locked into a dream
A wilderness
Tamed
Into a whisper
An unspeakable bliss
Kept silent and quiet
The most beautiful love
Under the black veil
Your vision
Gagged and blank
Unauthorized

Walls
Against which
Drums of despair
Resound from
A fallen heart
Constantly picked up
Packed
Pushed
And forced
To fight
To fight
To fight
To accept
A new
Half-dawn
Back on the feet again

Boiling blood
Coagulated
Fixed
Dried
Bruised
Smothered
Swallowed
Beautified
Adorned
With some delicate
Lights of lie

Scarlet hands
Persevering
Terribly
Always
Desiring
Loving

The breath
Found again
In a temporary
Calmness
Swimming

Against the current
