The empty chair - 'I hear your voice in all the sounds of the world.' ~ Paul Eluard.

Staring at
The fluffy air
The Mute
The empty seat

Empty sea
Of ghostly absence

The almighty
Powerful loss
Clear
In movements and sounds
Yet

Words
Wrapped up
In the halo vision
The dream
Of no division

Considering the whole
As a hole
Missing a kiss
A bliss

An abyss

Forgetting
Lost
In imagination

Walking walking walking
With breast bursting out
with burning, bright breath
Searching
Although knowing
The evidence
Of an absence

Illusion
The Houdini trick
The track of the mind
The dream
The hope
The desire
There

The hole in the cinema screen

The bench
Deserted

The multiplied empty seats
Over the lonely minds

The amputated tables
Static and shiny flatware
Perfectly untouched
Unhandled

Wine
Superbly un-poured
Un-drunk
The un-beingness of things
Filling the whole place

Not a nobler feeling yet
Than this happiness
And despair
In its unexplainable
Nakedness
The acceptance
Of an absence
Until
Nausea
