Over the Himalayas (October 2016) - “Sunlight streamed through grumbling storm clouds that played like tiger kittens around the mountain ridges.” ― Jane Wilson-Howarth, A Glimpse of Eternal Snows: A Journey of Love and Loss in the Himalayas

I am glad to announce that some of my poems and texts are now gathered in a book: 'WORDS OF STEEL AND VELVET': http://www.lulu.com/product/paperback/words-of-steel-and-velvet/18914215

'Words of steel and velvet' is a collection of poems and texts which constitute a reflection on the world and on the quest of our real nature. Finding echoes, sometimes in Irish landscapes, sometimes in the depths of one's self where most of the answers are often anchored.

"The poetry of Danielle Baraka finds its roots in the simple gestures of listening both to the external and the internal world. It is marked by a strong visionary imagination that transports itself on paths crossed by ancient myths and legends that her verses clearly catch a glimpse of.
The death, the Loneliness, the Love, the existential condition of Man are themes which are dear to her, considering them sometimes from far, sometimes from a closer distance, as if being herself a stone pit, death or the shining sun. An interesting, simple and minimal poetic : essential in style, very deep and rich in content." ~ Federica Galetto (Nightingale), Translator, Collages artist and Author of: 'Ode to a nightingale', 'Silent is the house' and 'Stanza del nord'.
